Create a public docs brain
Set up the brain your public documentation site is published from.
Each organisation has one public docs brain. Only admins and the owner can create it.
Create it
- Go to Knowledge and select New public docs brain.
- Enter a Name, or keep
docs. This is what the brain is called in ako. It doesn't change the site's address. - Select Create brain.
The brain opens with a home page, a Getting started section and the
usual ground-truth/ and routines/ folders. Its badge says
public.
If you see a Public docs card instead of New public docs brain, it explains why you can't create one: usually that public docs aren't switched on for your organisation yet, or that you aren't an admin.
Where the site will be
Your site's address comes from your organisation's short name:
https://your-org.docs.useako.com. You'll find it under Settings
on the brain's publish page.
Nothing is online until someone publishes.
Keep it public-safe
Anything you write in this brain may end up on the internet. Keep internal notes, plans, customer names and anything confidential in your other brains.
The brain comes with an AGENTS.md that tells the assistant the same
thing, and that it must never publish. The assistant and routines can
write drafts here, but only a person can put them live.
