Choose who can publish
Let people who aren't admins publish your docs or change the site's settings.
Admins and the owner can always publish and change site settings. To let someone else, give them one of two roles on the public docs brain:
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Publisher | Edit and approve changes in this brain, and publish, unpublish and restore. |
| Site admin | Everything a publisher can, and change the site's settings. |
These roles apply to the public docs brain only. Everywhere else, the person keeps their usual brain role.
Give someone a role
Only admins and the owner can do this.
- Open the public docs brain and select Review & publish.
- Select the People tab.
- Under Let someone else publish, choose the person and the role.
- Select Add.
To change or remove a role later, use the menu or Remove on their row.
Everyone else
Everyone in your organisation can read the draft. Who can edit it follows their usual role, so someone on Draft can suggest changes, which are sent for approval. Anyone can open the publish page to see what has changed, but only publishers can put it live.
