# Assistant

The assistant is ako's built-in agent. It reads your brains, answers
questions, writes changes and drafts documents, always with your
permissions.

- [Chat with your knowledge](/assistant/chat-with-your-knowledge)
- [Write a document with ako](/assistant/write-a-document)
- [Add a skill](/assistant/add-a-skill): standing instructions every agent
follows, such as your house style.
- [Schedule a routine](/assistant/schedule-a-routine): an agent that runs on a
schedule to keep a brain up to date.
